My day!

1. Check the Wx Models,

2. Check American WX to make sense of it. # of posts can give more insight than reading it sometimes

3. Read all Red tags, Bob Chill, and any other knowledgeable Met, or Met wanna be - hope for a chuckle from someone

4. WORK until Noon models -

5. Repeat Steps #1 - 3

6. Work until Happy Hour Models

7. Repeat #5

8. Wait until 0Z models

9. Repeat #7

10. IF it is possible that something is exciting, stay up until 2AM for Euro

11, Repeat #9

I'd rather see posts moved rather than deleted, if they are deemed to be harmful to a thread.  Most of the time, probably shouldn't do anything.  Just my opinion.

Why is it my job, or Midlo's, or Ian's or Randy's to move posts because someone is too lazy to copy, click a few times to a different thread, and then post?

Not a big deal, but sometimes posts aren't made with any real intent, good or bad.  And most of the time, it would be much easier to just do nothing.

We have TOO MANY THREADS.  Last year we had two.  Check it yourself.  They were the Med/ Long Range Disco and the Obs/Banter thread.  It worked better than this is working.  Everything is always a matter of opinion.  That's mine.  We have TOO MANY THREADS.

Anyway, no big deal.  I'm not losing sleep over it.

I come here first to see whether any of the threads are abnormally long.  That's the tell.

DT's on the WxUSAF-BobChill snow train to glory:

**ALERT** POTENTIAL for prolonged period of SERIOUS winter wx DEC 30- JAN 15. POLAR VORTEX Looks to be forced SOUTH- flipping AO to Neg

he must read our subforum. we're like psychics and stuff.

I'm honestly more interested in the developments afterwards. Yea, we could get a storm but all snow is basically not really an option unless the pattern progresses even quicker than progged. And this assumes the pattern remotely progresses as progged.

I'm thrilled with some sort of consensus building for blocking. THAT could be our lasting pattern of winter goods and it would happen in our coldest climo month. please please please let it happen....pleeeeze

Bob, one thing to keep in mind is that the CPC ens mean forecast a negative AO around the 1st of Dec and it ended up plus 4 for the same time period.  So I wouldn't yet get giddy.   The CPC AO index forecasts keep it positive through the period.

Far from giddy. Just optimistic. It's what I do best.
