Raining over a tenth of an inch per hour at 33/29 seems hard to do.  You'd think that'd almost wet bulb to a freezing rain.

 

Things should really start to flip from NW-SE after 03z.

It's really a latitudinal thing. More like MHT-ALB and then sinking south.
