Benchmark
Need a N trend... just for comparison those dark dark blues was equivalent to the super band today. You guys in N MD had your over performer today! As I sit here just S of Annapolis looking at my 33degree rainfall that band is set perfectly for S MD to have a nice hit! Let hope MR euro jumps on board but at this point I'm happy all others are consistently showing it.

Nobody cares if PA gets hit..in fact we would prefer it misses you completely It was a joke. I was talking about DC needing only 20 miles to get in it (which is useless at this range, hence the joke)... N MD got it today, let DC have some fun. I'm not worried about myself in PA, I have the rest of the year to nickle and dime my way.
mitchnick
It's going to show it, but we know the euro doesn't swing wildly..it will probably paint 0.15" of snow and everyone will be inconsolable.... this is just the type of situation when all the other models have it then the Euro comes in with .5+ at the last minute, so I'll take the over .15" for kicks

Not sure about .5+ but I'm fairly certain the euro looks similar to other guidance tonight with some variance of precip max and location of course. But it will make a big move towards other guidance. As said earlier, with the nam/gfs/rgem lock step at 36 hours there is only one thing the euro can do and its the same thing that bats live in

Bob Chill
.3 - .4 max just se of dc. Overall look and timing similar to 0z guidance. Placement and intensity needs to be resolved. I'll go with an rgem/hrrr blend tomorrow night.

snow.
I guess we need to figure out start time and precip type.....we have all day tomorrow! I think it is a pretty safe assumption that the NW burbs will do the best

blueapple
Quick 06z NAM thoughts before going to bed: still is cold (-10C 850's in DC as it's ending) but a bit less QPF. 00z Had blue for everyone not NW of DC, but 06z just wide swatch of .25 to .5 across the area. Obviously still not bad, and NAM is becoming more realistic about the amounts.
birdsofprey02
15z start time? Just wondering how this will setup for tomorrow... Everyone goes to work with not much snow, then by 11am it gets rolling into PM commute?

WinterWxLuvr
I don't understand LWX forecast at all especially for DC. Rain and snow? 1/2"? I don't see anything that suggests rain. Reading their discussion it seems they are riding the euro completely. I think this looks good for dc.
