RUNNAWAYICEBERG
HAVE GREATER CONFIDENCE WITH COLDER SOLUTIONS. WITH BROAD AGREEMENTAND RUN-TO-RUN CONTINUITY FROM THE ECMWF...PREFER THE MESO-NAM ANDWRF-MODEL SOLUTIONS WHICH CAPTURE THE COLD-AIR DAMMING PROCESSESTHROUGH THE CONNECTICUT RIVER VALLEY /SEE 1000-850 THICKNESSES/.TRENDS ARE NOTEWORTHY WITHIN THE LATEST HRRR RUNS. BUT OVERALL THEREIS STILL PLENTY OF UNCERTAINTY CONCERNING THERMAL PROFILES AND THEACCOMPANYING TRANSITION PROCESS OF WINTRY WEATHER TO PLAIN RAIN.THAT BEING SAID...THERE IS A LOT TO CONSIDER. WITH H975 AGEOSTROPHICFLOW OUT OF THE INTERIOR NORTH WITH A WEAK LOW TRACKING ACROSS THECAPE...NOT EXPECTING EASTERLY ONSHORE FLOW NORTH OF THE LOW TO SCOUROUT INTERIOR SURFACE COLD AIR EFFECTIVELY. EXPECT PREVAILINGNORTHERLY COLD-AIR DRAINAGE FLOW...JAMMING UP THROUGHOUT INTERIORVALLEYS /ESPECIALLY THE CT RIVER VALLEY/. 2M FORECASTED TEMPERATURESTAKEN MAINLY FROM MESO-NAM/WRF-MODEL SOLUTIONS. THOUGH THE EASTERLYONSHORE FLOW WILL RESULT IN A FASTER TRANSITION OF PRECIPITATIONTYPES ACROSS EAST COASTAL PLAIN IN THE MORNING...EXPECTING A WINTRYMIX TO LAST LONGER ACROSS THE INTERIOR INTO THE MIDDAY AND POSSIBLYTHE AFTERNOON HOURS. UPSTREAM TRENDS ACROSS INTERIOR MID-ATLANTICSHOW THIS PROCESS ALREADY ONGOING WHICH ADD FURTHER CONFIDENCE THATCOLD-AIR DAMMING OVER THE INTERIOR WILL BE A BIG ISSUE AS TO WINTERWEATHER OUTCOMES.PRECIPITATION AND SNOW/ICE AMOUNTS REMAIN A CHALLENGE...AND LIKELYTHERE ARE ALWAYS SURPRISES IN STORE WITH SYSTEMS SUCH AS THESE. N. OF PIKE
I F'N hate the transition to non fez precip on the e coastal plain. I mean i dont care how you spin it to live happily on e coastal mass during winter, but when sw ct stays sub 32 and you are up in essex county , mass 150 miles NE and have Steady light rain @ 34 blows

N. OF PIKE
OT slightly I mean i guess im just saying i can admit the climo sucks wrt holding cold and that is bothersome, out of all the places in mass i have been, i liked w framingham best bc besides being alright for snow, they could actually hold the cold decently. Here in wakefield we held the cold last year in the end of december storm where i think from E. Peabody Down to saugus /Lynn and boston rain'd. That was just disgusting for those areas and winter weenies, and actually gave me a strange sense of accomplishment (that my areas stay'd snow the whole time) Radar looks increasingly fair and i think it will be fun to watch unfold
joey2002
Cool - he's a really really nice guy. I've only had really positive interactions with him. Yeah, Cantore is awesome. He gave me a personal tour of TWC a few years ago, shortly before they were bought by NBC. Just a really nice and genuine guy... very down-to-earth.
