dryslot
I think I'm just having an office meltdown. I hate to spend several days on a system to see it wiped out by one shift. I think we may need to take this to Spring Meadows to settle it, $1 Nassau, I will bring the beer

RUNNAWAYICEBERG
They wont upgrade because you need a certain amount of snow and ice for an upgrade and were not getting enough qpf for that!! Thats what im trying to say.. even if it stays below 32 im more concerned with SW CT. first widespread event on a Monday morning commute. qpf wont matter if theres 2" of snow and then couple hours of zr. jamesnichols1989
My guess is the GFS isn't showing much lift for the Tuesday storm system as the NAM is showing.
CT Rain
One thing for sure is noone within 20 miles of the shore is going above freezing tomorrow. Go under all guidance . NAM 2M temps looks good to me.
eduggs
18z GFS is juicy for Tuesday. With multi-run support from its ensembles.

CoastalWx
We should watch that stuff near BGM to see if it tried to blossom eastward later.
TauntonBlizzard2013
Not saying it is - UK and GGEM don't have much either. Clinch Leatherwood
We should watch that stuff near BGM to see if it tried to blossom eastward later. When do you expect the snow to break out down here?
N. OF PIKE
When do you expect the snow to break out down here? I think break out is a aggressive term
Boston Bulldog
I think break out is a aggressive term I like "overspread" better.
powderfreak
I think break out is a aggressive term In all seriousness, I'm curious to see if it will be more showery in nature of one solid shield, just very light and weak.

HoarfrostHubb
Trying to figure out where noaa got their forecast snow totals The only way I feel that I get an inch or 2 is if the ratios of whatever paltry snow falls up this way are really high Not expecting that
Mr. Windcredible!
Trying to figure out where noaa got their forecast snow totals The NAM. Not sure why they were hot on it...but I think most of us figured that upper part of their range (2") was never gonna happen. I never thought even 1" amounts would be widespread...but figured someone might get lucky. But right now I'm trying to figure out how we even manage a coating. CoastalWx
When do you expect the snow to break out down here? Well I haven't looked hard at that, but probably after like 3-4am? It may be scattered bands too...might not be a concise band. HRRR actually had an OES band just offshore at 11z on the earlier runs.
CT Rain
00z soundings are interesting as always - You can see the OKX sounding is nice and saturated event through the snow growth zone... not bad. That's what helped the snow near Philly overperform earlier. Look upstream though at IAD and PIT... bone dry above 700mb.
