moneypitmike
Why? The advisory was issued for ZR not for snow. I was under the impression that it was tied to the combination. Will there be any flakes at this point up this way? 10 inches in Vorhees , NJ and plenty more to go Righteous!! Shades of '09-'10... I had the same thought. CT Rain
Even the 12z Euro had no clue with that band over PHL/ILG. Barely had any QPF in S NJ.
H2Otown_WX
Well except that winter had a severely -NAO and featured Supression of monster coastals. But other than that sure. Yeah I thought about that after I posted lol. Much different longwave pattern, but, same results.
H2Otown_WX
eh…let 'em have one. they haven't had much since that epic year. Watching an early season surprise 4-8" band certainly not as frustrating as watching back to back KU's bury them alive in mid-winter while we're sunny and 20 degrees with bare ground. 2/26 was a stinger too. I was in DXR with 34F and +RA while it was ripping S+ like 10 miles away.
Damage In Tolland
How warm is it supposed to be in Philly tomorrow?I can't imagine it will warm enough to melt all that new snowpack
moneypitmike
How warm is it supposed to be in Philly tomorrow? Heavy melting--but plenty to melt, so plenty to remain.
Ginx snewx
Lol....sometimes that WAA/ML fronto can totally fool the models. (and forecasters too) Not always easy to forecast these. Major major props to Snow Goose he mentioned this probability several times.

OceanStWx
I was under the impression that it was tied to the combination. Will there be any flakes at this point up this way? Basically you have a winter weather advisory for an average of 4" or more of snow. A freezing rain advisory for any amount of freezing rain/drizzle. So if you have both snow and freezing rain/drizzle you issue a winter weather advisory for the combination.

CoastalWx
Even the 12z Euro had no clue with that band over PHL/ILG. Barely had any QPF in S NJ. Euro has shat the bed a few times. The RPM actually had the band although not nearly 10" I think it had 3-6" yeaterday.
Ginx snewx
To the folks who posted that AO NAO positive never produces in the MA, please reprogram your brain. This game in Philly is loaded with win. Just awesomeness.
OceanStWx
For the record, I'm unhappy with our forecast. I just spent the last couple days looking at paltry QPF and no decent snow growth. Now we're about to go with widespread 3-5" with lollis of 6+ and not a single bit of ice in the grids. Alas, it was not my call today despite my protests about freezing drizzle. For those that see the forecast, I'm still saying don't get your hopes up with this event.
RUNNAWAYICEBERG
Even the 12z Euro had no clue with that band over PHL/ILG. Barely had any QPF in S NJ. seems almost worthless in the close range lately.
