I still think we squeeze out an inch here in State College with some bands to our west moving in....at least that's what I'm telling myself! Anyone have any other thoughts?

Very unlikely. That band was barely heavy enough to coat the ground, and we've got nothing close to that heavy moving in from here on out.

Correct. Assuming he's in the general Lock Haven area, should be out of there in 10 to 15 minutes, too.

He's down in the middle of nowhere around Seven Mountains, southeast of here. I don't know if you've ever had to drive down toward Harrisburg/Baltimore, but he has to deal with that really nasty hilly stretch with the sharp curves. Even 1/4" of snow makes that really bad.

The stuff between here and Lewistown will probably amount to 1/4" at best, but he should be careful if he's driving there now. In a half an hour things will probably be free and clear.

Essentially has stopped snowing here now. This event's kinda pissing me off.

Same here. Getting a ton of grief from my girlfriend because I had promised her a couple of inches of snow. Instead we get to live vicariously through our friends just 20 miles away.

Cool. I grew up just south of Safe Harbor on River Rd. Very familiar with that area. I need to make it out to the TH trail. Maybe I'll grab the dogs and camera and head out there after a decent snowfall this winter.

They did a great job with it. There is a fence which isn't so nice to look at (it was required by Norfolk Southern) but overall it is really nice.

It is remarkable how many times Harrisburg has been fringed the last few winters, even back in 2009-2010. I am glad I am up at school or I would be fuming again haha. Family is reporting only a heavy coating or so in Linglestown this morning.

Harrisburg got as much snow in 09-10 as it did in 02-03:

I moved from the nj shore to pa back in 2007 and I've missed every storm that has affected the area, either by being in Daytona for Speedweeks in February or living to far away from the coastals (in jim Thorpe, stroudsburg, Pittston, now Hershey). I even missed sandy cuz I had to do live reports all night from the non event up in Wilkes barre. The only thing interesting I saw was golf ball to baseball hail in August of 2007 at work. Ok, rant is over. Like the snow here in Hershey. Just over two inches which is starting to compact on my scientifically accurate car roof.

O9-10 was awesome for us in the Harrisburg area, not as good as 02-03, but it was pretty solid and above average snowfall by a decent amount too

Trust me I know that stats. But if you look at the snow totals that came out of York, Lancaster, and Adams county for those big winter storms, they were pushing 30" down around Gettysburg, etc. So while yes it was a snowy year, the jackpot totals were always to the south and east.
