Looks like a pretty decent area of heavier snow about to move in here coming from Pittsburgh. Might help get some better snows up to State College and Harrisburg. Def gonna help reinforce what's going on in the southern tier of PA. Saw someone post about having 5" in southern York County over in the Mid-Atlantic thread. CTP might have to monitor for warning upgrades for their southeastern PA/MD border counties if those kinds of totals become more widespread.

Yeah the 20+ dBz echoes may just clip southern Centre county. So far we have had a steady light snow with a fresh dusting on the ground.

Yea but that's not advisory criteria for those parts of the state.

You're forgetting about the changeover to freezing precip tonight. Plus, don't be so sure places like Altoona and Harrisburg don't get advisory. Look at radar. It's looking great for them.

Remember, don't make forecasts/statements with weather based on staring out your window. It rarely works.

Here in Carlisle the heavy stuff is just about to move in from the west. Got about 0.2" so far with temp at 25.9.

Watching the Philly game. It looks like 3 or 4" have already accumulated on the field! Just unreal. Can it snow any harder there? Looks like 4"/hr rates. WOW

Not complaining.....but how ironic is it, that you have to watch it on TV....to see it snowing that hard.

But at least we are seeing some snow. Picked up an inch Friday, looks like we will get a little today.

Glad the southern tier of our forum is getting snow!!!

Wow, guys! Check out this webcam from near Lancaster, where I grew up. If you have ever been to the area, it's pretty hilly...especially along the Susquehanna River, where this webcam is located (Columbia). Check out all the cars that can't get up the hill.

Thanks. That road is always a mess when there is wintry weather.
