how will you go on? how?

There's always a bit of disappointment to watch other areas get hit when you're (barely) missing out. Especially when it repeatedly happens. Any snow lover who says otherwise is a liar. Some just post more about it than others. Truth is, I've seen a few red-taggers express that same disappointment at times in other storms and other forums, so no one is immune.

I agree with this.

Wow thats pretty decent stuff, someone in south central/LSV should get some good rates soon.

P.S.: PA needs to expand it's camera's, too many empty spots along major interstates.

Getting truly upset over missing snow is ridiculous. Most people would agree. Sorry, but that's how it is. Sure, I get disappointed. But not like a lot of people.

Two people, including one who is a psychology background that I work with, has asked me the following question and with concern after I sent them the link to AmWx when they were curious about it:

"Jamie, do a lot of people on your weather forum suffer from clinical depression or anxiety? I am a bit taken aback by some of the things I see posted on there."

They did seem to think our forum was better here. And that it was a cool communiuty.

I remember you posting that before. I agree with you, those who get totally wound up, po'd, and act like they're going to jump off a bridge because it didn't snow have some problems, but just a general post about it (similar to the one I made awhile ago) isn't really that bad. It IS a bit of bummer to get repeatedly sideswiped by significant events.

You all seem like you are in a bad location geographically.

BTW wanted to suggest something; you should email the NWS State College and Philly offices and find out what's up with the weird stuff in your forecasts. I've noticed that with other border areas, the one office will post something completely different from a nearby town's forecast in another office's forecast area.

I have not posted much on any of these threats this week because I had a bad feeling a week ago just looking at how the waves seemed to be setting up that this was going to be a very frustrating situation for me and it has seemed to follow my expectations.  When this is all over come Wednesday, there is likely to be a very narrow 20 miles wide strip that did not get any significant snow and I am right in the middle of it.  I take full blame for this.

I would like to apologize to the snow lovers in the east central PA area for moving into the area but I fear my move from MD to Pine Grove has doomed us this winter.  I have a LONG record of having to suffer for at least 2 winters after I move while my old location gets dumped with snow.  Oddly it often happens when I move to a location that averages more snow as well.  When I moved from southern NJ to northwest VA in the early 90's, even though northern VA averaged more snowfall...I had to watch as my first 2 winters we got nothing but ice while NJ got snow after snow.  When I moved to PA in 1999 I had to watch as the only 2 significant snowfalls that winter crushed my old location in VA.  When I moved back to VA in 2004 I saw PA form a glacier while I enjoyed 33 and rain all winter long.  In 2007 I moved to MD and again for 2 winters saw my old house in VA get more snow.  All in all, I have moved 7 times and every time my old location got more snow the following winter.  I am truly sorry for having doomed this region.  On the bright side, I have often had epic historic winters in my new locations in year 2 or 3 living there so there is hope in the future.

My old house is, neighbor said its snowing "hella hard" right now, but I moved to Pine Grove, PA back in September.  I need to change my location.  Feeling very unlucky right now for sure...as I look to be about 20 miles north of getting any meaningful snow today and was 20 miles south the other night.

One should never turn to drugs due to busts. Especially bad blow.

Mapgirl/psuhoffman must be seeing pretty good rates.

I didn't know Mother Nature formed her weather based upon you.
