Santa Clause
Roads are a mess around the house even with just the sleet. Anything but rain and I'm happy!
JamieOber
Back to snow here. Looks like some higher reflectivity is starting to develop north and west of Altoona. That looks pretty encouraging.
heavy_wx
Can a met offer some hope please? We were supposed to be snow by 7, it's almost 8 and I'm seeing nothing snow-wise... Maybe the "up to one inch" from this morning wasn't so out there. Well mesoscale lift is increasing somewhat in central PA and the precip looks to be transitioning to mostly snow based on the CC dual pol radar product. We'll have to see how the precip looks upstream for later on though.
Santa Clause
Yea, if we can keep good precip for a few hours we will be fine for 3 plus inches!

I've been trying to learn the dual pol stuff and it looks like the snow/no snow line is starting to push east pretty quick... do you agree?... still west of williamsport but looking favorable for state college right now

It's a bit harder to pick out north towards Williamsport because the line between CC values around 1 and lower is not as clear.
