I have serious doubts about the lack of freezing rain it shows MRB-HGR, but I hope its right.  I'll take the snow and sleet over power outages.

Yeah, plus I kinda doubt anyone is getting 1"+ ZR. It's like a snow map with more variables it can be wrong with. ;)

DCA is 0.50+" all snow before changeover...the 18z sounding is insane..."warm" nose is -2

Yes Matt it is ridiculous how much colder this run is all the way through the column, though I love your point about ML CAD that is a valid one. It was very evident on the GFS this run. Even some places on the eastern shore see some snow on this run.

This is the set up where we get freezing rain after snow. I'd rather have it on top of some snow than glaze everything bare surface.

yes...It will help preserve some from melting when it warms and we get plain rain

GGEM kinda develops that second low off the east coast which is interesting. It has been showing that for several runs, which might be why there is kind of a lull in the precip. Not too sure I buy that, however sfc temps are very cold. Very strong CAD once again on the Canadian.

Almost looks like a quasi-transfer going on... freezing rain still ongoing just west of I-95 at 5am MON... DCA is right at freezing

Precip shuts of around 12z MON... if you were west of I-95 you were frozen entire time and enjoying 10-12 hrs of freezing rain

I'm starting to think that places all the way to the bay almost could be in for at least more than a nuisance event. This definitely isn't just a suburbs event. The suburbs are likely to see a significant impact, but light to moderate impacts are possible even in coastal towns like Annapolis and Aberdeen.
