I have seen many occasions where there is a razor sharp cutoff on the models but toward the event the precip is much more expansive and ultimately that area has more snow or ice than initially modeled. Most of the time this proves true but the anxiety always make it tough right up to game time. Today's Euro was actually a little drier for northern areas than last night's run. In the the end we will probably get enough qpf to reach forecasted amounts and we might do better than 10 to 1 ratios as it looks very cold at all levels through 0z Sunday, but that may be a reach.
