mappy
I'm confident I could outforecast pretty much every local met in the area in most 1-5 day settings... but obviously I am no winter weather expert. I think everyone realized we were joking except DCAlexandria.. or maybe he just saw it as an opening to open up with his weird fetish he has for me. is he your twitter stalker? H2O
DCAlexandria says he's older than 14 but so far all evidence contradicts that. Nonetheless he's made me feel bad about my life. you take nice pictures

H2O
we all have our roles. it's just funny how instantly everyone falls back into them once the models show something of interest. my goal for this winter is to just not comment on things when i think people are being weenie. i'm a smartass 24/7 365. i like consistency

I thought I was the only one! anyway, those of us on the Board pretty much already know what's gunna' be in it, so, like you, unless they're spiking the ball for a heavy snow, I don't need to know the specifics of the fail

Bob Chill
Luckily the moon phase will be less than half on Sunday night. Should help with temps. Especially the higher up you go closer to the moon. The gravitational pull sucks the warmth right out.

If the storm happens during high tide then that would mean the warm ocean temps are closer...meanin all rain. I'm hoping for no moon and the lowest tide ever myself

Tide is going to bring those water levels up, and with the water temps in the upper 40's... could tip us over the edge toward that dreaded liquid p-type. Edit: Dagummit Leesburg! EastCoast NPZ
Accuwx not impressed. Monday forecast for me is 42F and rain. If even they are not hyping this potential event, why are we? I'm out.
Bob Chill
watch for meteors? A well timed meteor shower can supply an abundance of condensation nuclei in the snow growth layer. Kinda like cloud seeding but better.

nw baltimore wx
I miss the Washington Star paper Me too. It was nice to read an evening paper. Not to mention, I was a paper boy when papers were delivered by kids on a bike to the front door and not tossed out of a moving car on to the bottom of the driveway by an adult.
