Great quote:

"This thing's rapidly turning into a major snowstorm. 1-2' of snow appears likely except in Leesburg where it will rain."

The best we do is an inch or two maybe 3 if the snow gods are kind but the 800 temps are almost at 32 degrees when we're snowing so that may still be optimistic, then sleet and freezing rain before a changeover but for some the changeover from freezing rain may be pretty slow. If I were writing an article today I'd include two scenarios.  One pretty much like my thoughts from yesterday and another more wintery ones like the models.

I was shooting for a 1" ceiling last night but I haven't really looked much today. It does sound better at least. As Ji noted I'll wait till things trend bad again before piping in. Could be just a few minutes now.

Not really but more in than yesterday.  The low track is still a bummer,  our goal is an inch or two before pings.

Which would probably be enough for LWX to hoist WSWs for the entire CWA and have Bob Chill yank his shovel out of 3 years of cobwebs and dust from the corner of his garage. --> victory! :snowman:

Now ur talkin! I actually pulled them out last weekend when I finished my yard work. The thing that sucks is I need my rakes multiple times every year. I wish it snowed like my trees dropping leaves.

Maybe you just cracked 'the code'????

That would mean mothballing all those lights for the sake of snow.  I simply didn't *have* lights back then since we had just moved from a townhouse.

I don't know if I could do it, especially with a little baby girl at home now.  Hmmm...I'm willing to listen to offers.

Isn't that illegal??!!??

If she is crawling she can do it.  Less weight on the roof and she can clean the gutters while up there

Same here in '09.  First Christmas in the house, had just come from an apartment.

I freaked the F out before the second storm in February.  I was standing on 5' high snow mounds so I could reach the roof with a broom to get more and more snow off of it.  I was positive I'd have ice jamming and my roof would cave in.

If we even have something similar again, I hope my daughter is old enough to get up there and do the dirty work for me.
