Bob Chill
Speaking of torches. Thursday is looking pretty torchy unless clouds save us. Dang, ground will be to warm to accumulate Sunday night when we are below freezing with mod snow.
Ian
When I first write the line about passing the torch on I originally said to you and then erased it thinking you might try to get me out of the picture. Oh, I'm scheming.
Bob Chill
Oh, I'm scheming. I can already paraphrase the articles "dca is looking at a potential 3"-5" event. Looks like a CWG 3/10 incoming. Luckily temps will rebound and melt it off in 24 hours so the following day will be 7/10."

Bob Chill
No he was exciting at the prospect of thunder and downed power lines. That's what he thrives on. Good point. Rooting for disruption of life and property is his thing. And I get weird looks for rooting for fluffy pretty snow. snow. usedtobe
I hate the snowfall maps from any timeframe...We have free access to the best data....what is the point of posting something with a faulty algorithm? I do too, especially when I see unrealistic amounts. People like the excitement of looking at big snow maps even if they are probably way overdone and wrong (and I haven't even looked at this one yet). EasternUSWX
they are for entertainment only....they serve no purpose when it comes to forecasting No model maps are ever 100% right, it just gives you an idea of where the heaviest snow could be of course. ThePhotoGuy
When was the last time we had a legit ice storm? Didn't we have "decent" one in 2007 or so? I can remember an event around then when we had a WWA locally for just some minor freezing rain/icing (<.10) but the change over didn't happen and we were upgraded to a warning.
