Any accums to speak of? Or just mood stuff

Yeah maybe like a coating to an inch or so...enough to whiten the ground. I'm not convinced yet...anafrontal accumulating snows are not the easiest to achieve, so I'd rather see it inside of 3 days, but as shown its a bit of sleet and snow at the end. We'll see as we get closer.

Really a lot is hinging on the timing off that front. I won't hold my breath

GFS and EURO both show another storm around the 8-9th timeframe as a either a cutter going coastal, or miller B type system bringing some front end snows on the EURO over to rain, while the GFS is mainly snows.  This is an interesting time period.  GFS shows multiple waves bringing all kinds of precip types to the region, while the NAM also shows this frontal wave concoction in its long range outlook.  RIght now EURO is one frontal wave followed by a cutter turning coastal storm.

Euro ensembles are pretty bullish (relative term we're talking here) in ending us as sleet/snow. I'm still a bit skeptical but if they verified their 12z run verbatim, we'd have a white ground on Saturday.

Are you looking at individual members or snow probs or just using the means?

Euro on board

Just perhaps it was useful for me to start this thread.........I'll be flying into BDL at 9:30p.m. Friday--hopefully to some flakes.

Suddenly, I am overwhelmed by qpf concerns.  I'm thinking the timing/placement of the cooler air and final wave may target central/eastern areas leaving the NW area relatively dry.  Of course, several days to work things out.

28.6/28 back at the Pit.

still looks like a thread the needle situation...but euro offers up some light snow in the pre-dawn hours of saturday.

tough with the cold just slowly coming in.

Euro solution was pretty decent today. Probably an inch or so for most people. Hopefully it sticks. Even this "threat" is still 84-96 hours out.
