From Don S.:

"At Savannah, the temperature had reached 81° as of 1 pm. That was the 5th time this month Savannah has had a temperature of 80° or above. Only 1931 with 6 such dates has had more."

I didn't know that.  Tomorrow, Sav. may get its record tieing 6th. In contrast, there were only two in Nov.

Looks like Sav., indeed, may have maxed out at 81 with it down to 79 at 2 PM. ATL down to 70 at 2 PM.

CHS also had had 5 80's this month!

So, 1931 was the only time before 2013 that Savannah had 6 Dec. highs of 80+. I checked out KATL for the winter of 1931-2. The coldest of that winter by far was in March! It went down to 15 and there were three lows In the teens. The high on 3/9 was only 28 with 0.3" of S. Also, there was 0.2" of S just three days later! Just food for thought if it stays mild in Jan/Feb.

54 with light rain, guessing some sort of CAD taking place since most other areas are in the 70's besides CAD favored areas.

its warmed up imby by now as well but i think you are right.  left home late morning and temps in low 50s with showers and fog by the time i was near athens it was 70 and partly cloudy lol

well there ya go lol. thanks for posted that.  now the real question is where the heck is a cad like this when we NEED it with freezing temps and moisture moving in

It's still 67 here.

Its bad when the low temp for the night is 10-12 degrees above your normal high for that date....tomorrow we could get 80 here and the coldest they have us till Monday post frontal is 62, which means we will be about +25-30 from where we should be temp wise at any given moment the next 2 days.

Yea man it snuck in here...nobody talked about it much. Watched the news out of GSP yesterday/last night we were 6-8 degrees cooler! Never got to 60 here until after midnight. Now its 62 and eerie feeling outside...but if this is as bad a TORCH we get then I'm OK with that!
