Well the rain guage broke a couple weeks ago so I dunno what could be in the bucket. But there was a brief period of rain and sleet this morning. Didn't last but maybe 10 mins... before breaks in precip and eventually rain. Has been raining decent last couple of hours.

Honestly if I remember correctly this has been the 2-3rd straight weekend in a row with rain. In the construction biz this is killing work and making life miserable once the temps rise above 32. Alot easier to walk on a frozen ground and ice than a thawed red clay mud.

But guess its typical winter time weather in NC. Until we can get the flow to slow down and teleconnections in our favor will likely continue seeing what has happen since the beginning of Nov. While the models may be all over the place... warm cold cold warm the general flow is too fast and progressive to support a snowstorm with a magnitude of 6"+.

THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR PORTIONS OF NORTH AND CENTRAL
GEORGIA.

.DAY ONE...TONIGHT...

...AN ISOLATED SEVERE THUNDERSTORM IS POSSIBLE OVER EAST CENTRAL
GEORGIA EARLY THIS EVENING...
...FREEZING DRIZZLE POSSIBLE IN THE NORTHEAST GEORGIA MOUNTAINS
   AFTER MIDNIGHT...

WEATHER HAZARDOUS EXPECTED...
DAMAGING WINDS AND AN ISOLATED TORNADO ARE POSSIBLE WITH ANY SEVERE
THUNDERSTORM. OCCASIONAL LIGHTNING CAN ALSO BE EXPECTED WITH ANY
THUNDERSTORM. THE PRIMARY AREA OF CONCERN IS FROM SWAINSBORO TO
LYONS TO MCRAE.

FREEZING DRIZZLE MAY CAUSE SLIPPERY ROAD CONDITIONS IN THE NORTHEAST
GEORGIA MOUNTAINS. THE AREA OF CONCERN IS FROM BLUE RIDGE TO
HIAWASSEE TO CLEVELAND TO DAWSONVILLE TO ELLIJAY.

DISCUSSION...
A COLD FRONT FROM NORTHWEST GEORGIA TO SOUTH MISSISSIPPI WILL
CONTINUE MOVING THROUGH GEORGIA TONIGHT AND EXIT THE STATE ON
SUNDAY. THERE REMAINS ENOUGH WIND SHEAR AND INSTABILITY OVER EAST
CENTRAL GEORGIA TO WARRANT A SMALL POTENTIAL FOR AN ISOLATED SEVERE
THUNDERSTORM OR TORNADO EARLY THIS EVENING. THIS SMALL THREAT IS
MAINLY ALONG AND EAST OF A LINE FROM MCRAE TO SWAINSBORO.

OTHERWISE...AREAS OF DRIZZLE OR RAIN WILL PREVAIL OVER THE REMAINDER
OF GEORGIA IN ADVANCE OF THE COLD FRONT. SURFACE TEMPERATURES WILL
DIP TO NEAR FREEZING OVER THE NORTHEAST MOUNTAINS AFTER MIDNIGHT.
THIS MAY CAUSE THE DRIZZLE TO FREEZE ON IMPACT WITH SLIPPERY ROAD
CONDITIONS.
