EmersonGA
When you say Allatoona I assume you mean Allatoona Creek? Where exactly were you at? I live real close to the gauge near Mars Hill.I did see the creek bit was referring to the lake. The current at the 41, 75, and Bells ferry bridges was incredible. This time of year it was mostly the creeks I saw but even the main lake had a huge current.
Rainforrest
I wonder how much rain Rainforrest has picked up. Probably like 20 inches. If we don't make it below 70 before midnight we are going to break the record high minimum. Not sure what it is, but the low has probably never been 70 in December. On 12-7-13, we broke the record high minimum of 62 with the low only going down to 64. sorry to disappoint metalman only ended up with 4.72. dsaur
5.7 the final total, and I think most fell with in the 24 hour period. It wasn't raining Sat night at 1pm, and I don't know when it started, but I believe most fell in 24, which would be the most I've gotten in one day in a century, maybe even an epoch, lol. Sure is nice to be invited to the party you have all be enjoying all these years. T PS: Larry, I'm sorry about the traffic, but a once in a millennium occurrence will cause a bit of a snarl, lol. At least you'll be here for the big storm that's coming! Unless.....yesterday was Tony's storm....hmmm...nahhh ...can't be...it was a sleet vision I had. This rain was a surprise T
calculus1
Well, I can't match Tony's fantastic totals, but I consider 2.86 inches of rainfall for this storm to be pretty decent! My high temp today occurred at 2:20 AM at 62.2 F. Temperature is currently 56.2 F under cloudy skies IMBY.
Lookout
Are you over 100 inches for the year now? We wound up with 2.29 for this event and we are up to 76.29 for the year. I have gotten 80.32 inches for the year which is just nuts. I don't think i've ever seen that much in one year. Back in the summer it rained every day single day for a month. A lot of days it would rain more than once, had a number of days where it rained 3 or 4 times, and one or two days it rained heavily 6 or 7 times. It was crazy to see it rain that many times every day. My highest one day total was over freaking 7 inches. Unfortunately my health wasn't good enough for me to enjoy it. As for this event, I picked up 4.25 inches.

We've been keeping records here for 15 years and our previous yearly high was 65 inches.

Solak
Pretty meager .27" so far. Didn't want the flooding rains like others have had, but was expecting a lit more than that. We'll see what tonight adds to the total.

FLweather
Glad to see the sun after that gully washer. Not sure on the amount of rain since a broken rain guage... but my guess is somewhere between 2.5-4" of rain. I know the models have really backed off the idea of snow shower potential outside the mountains over the last 24 hours or so... via 700mb charts. But looking at what is up stream would not be entirely impossible to see some kind of redevelopment on the Lee side of the mountains. Maybe a period of couple hours this afternoon could see some sprinkles maybe some flurries in the piedmont of VA,NC. But Merry Christmas to everyone may you be blessed this coming year and enjoy your time with family.. Maybe we can get a storm in around the 3rd of Jan.
