metalicwx366
Boy the SE forums aren't what they used to be. We now have way too many JI posters and negative Nannies who just can't wait to deliver all the bad news of how hot its going to be and cancel winter before it even starts. I've been around for 10 years including the Eastern Days. Things use to be more pleasant here. Thankfully. We do still have some good posters though.Lol, maybe because the last two winters have pissed people off. Give another 2009-10 winter, everyone will be excited. mackerel_sky
Yeah in my book. You guys can continue to post 240+ hour maps . Show me some blocking and a - NAO AO and +PNA and it will be back on.. Your winters are always and forever, over!

Cold Rain
A good LR model rule to remember is, in the absence of blocking, a suppressed storm will become a non-suppressed storm as we get closer to the event, assuming it's real.

Cold Rain
Exactly what I have been saying. I totally agree. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk What we need is a storm around Cuba or southern Florida at about 240 hours. Then maybe, MAYBE we'd have a shot! Actually, a south half of FL crossover (say up to Tampa) of a Miller A in conjunction with Arctic air to the north is a very rare combo that can give places like Charleston, Savannah, Waycross, and Gainseville, FL, their very rare measurable snows. Examples: Dec. of 1989. and Feb. of 1973

packbacker
Full regional forum meltdown in the MA forum. Isopycnic
Too many damn forums to read. That's kinda stupid. NW GA, East TN and NC mountains all kind of share the same weather as the SE forum. Is Asheville in this forum or the TN forum? I can see where a Mississippi Valley forum would be needed but a TN Valley?
buckeyefan1
So is this just a NC/SC forum? Maybe splitting us up will bring someone good luck. No. The only thing that has changed is to move the TN Valley, that being lower Ky,TN,upper MS/AL. IMO GA(nw or otherwise) is here.
