GEM/Canadian, which has been showing consistently showing the ice storm scenario for the CAD regions of NC for days now, coming in much colder on 12Z run as well.  Keeps 32 degree line down to SC border until 12z Monday morning, with precip still coming down.  Nice hit for NC CAD region if you want an ice storm.  

 

Keeps getting better or worse, depending on how you look at it.

I miss having the mets and the more experienced forecasters and hobbyists contributing quality commentary and analysis in the threads in the SE forum.  It seems like so many of the good ones have left.   :cry:

 

Really miss Allan Huffman and Matthew East posting more. Allan said he would be back later with a discussion about the Sunday system, though.

I agree packfan...It's just not like it used to be. I still keep up w/ the weather and check model runs but don't post near as much as I used too. I do believe being skunked the past few winters has a lot to do with that.

As soon as there is a non-marginal threat to track this place will be blowing up again.
