Agree.

Verbatim Monday is 4-8" for many in VT with no changeover north of RUT-LEB.

You think that much?  I was leaning more towards like 2-5".  The forcing over VT is sort of split between the primary low to the west and the secondary in SE New England...  we end up with a lighter WAA precipitation event, IMO.

Whoops. That's combined with D-2" Friday night per Euro. Forcing and synoptic dynamics are downright sh*tty after initial WAA thump which could be better than you'd expect with that surge of warmth coming northward,

Probably more like 3-6".

Hi guys, I'm back! Still house hunting. After some research and a few visits, we've decided to focus our attention on the Jackson, NH area. Any thoughts about how much snow this area gets? Seems like a decent spot - not VT, of course, but should be able to retain the snowpack quite well, at least? Where is a reliable source of yearly snowfall data?

Thanks!

I'd guess highly dependent on elevation and other local factors there.  Wildcat's address is Jackson, and they claim 200"/yr and N. Conway I have seen listed around 100".  Seems like a reasonable range, with habitable areas likely on the lower end.

great spot, near Wildcat, Attitash and an hour drive to SR. Snow data can be had on the Utah climate center Web Site, look for a co-op near there.

Short-lived blocked flow event tonight for the Greens? Moisture cuts out quick Friday morning, but there's a small window with blocked flow and available moisture that could provide some good upslope enhancement (08-12z tonight) along the western slopes. Of course, will it be cold enough for any snow?

BTV not feeling to good about decent snowfalls through mid month unfortunately:

FOR THE REMAINDER OF THE FORECAST PERIOD FOR TUESDAY THROUGH
THURSDAY...COLDER TEMP PROFILES RETURN AS A BROAD UPPER TROUGH
SETTLES OVER THE NORTHEAST. WE`LL BE UNDER FAST WEST/SOUTHWEST
UPPER FLOW WITH SEVERAL WEAK SHORTWAVES MOVING THROUGH SUPPORTING
SOME LOW CHANCE POPS HERE AND THERE FOR SNOW...BUT NO REAL BIG
ACCUMULATIONS ON THE HORIZON...SIGH
. HIGHS DURING THE PERIOD WILL
GENERALLY BE IN THE 20S...AND LOWS IN THE LOWER TEENS TO SINGLE
NUMBERS...ALL WELL BELOW NORMAL FOR MID-DECEMBER.

As a snowboarder, I can imagine why he is "sighing" lol.

33.2F as the -RA/-DZ continues.

I posted this in the banter thread, but classic CAD.  It is a full on torch just west of the mountains.

Its around 60 degrees right now out at Syracuse, NY...

The best gradient though is in southern VT right now... it is 57F at DDH on the west side of the mountains, while VSF is mid-30s on the east side in the CT River Valley.  Classic CAD.

I just saw the 5:45pm weather on the local news and they were noting that you could be out in short sleeves west of the Greens, while winter jackets were needed east of the mountains, lol.

I'm at 39F at home and MVL is 40F, so warming up but on the other side of the mountain its in the 50s.
