LizardMafia
1.5" of pure fluff here overnight. 2.0" measured from a CoCoRaHS observer on the west side. Not bad for a 30% pops forecast. An impressive combination of frequent flakes and deep cold. yeah...i'm not sure if it's just coming off 2 pretty weak winters or if it's just that good of a start...either way, it's nice and it's been a pleasure watching the little ones (5 and 2 years old now) get up every morning and run to the window to see if it snowed...something that has been missing for a few years. hawkeye_wx
Like cyclone, we continue to get nickeled and dimed this season. I ended up with 0.9" from this weak clipper. I drove into the beginning of the snow on my way back from Chicago yesterday evening, but was fortunate to get home before the snow picked up and began to really accumulate. My season total is now 9.8 inches, which is pretty good for mid December, but it has taken seven snow events to get there.

Chicago WX
Nice photos Josh. Deep winter look here right now as well. The 1.5" of fluff from overnight added a nice touch. Too bad I only have 2-3 days to enjoy it, but thems the breaks. Hopefully there's more wintry fun down the road. I didn't add LAF in the temp listing from a few posts ago, but we're at 26.9º -5.8º thus far. 10 of the past 12 days have had a double digit negative departure. Funny because a few days ago there were TV, radio and Weather Network mets calling for 100% chance of a white Xmas after the storm. Oh how fickle weather can be.
