Mounds of ice staked on the shore. There was "icebergs" floating further out in the lake.

 

 

 

Sometimes even the little snow patterns on the ground are fascinating to look at.

HOURS. THIS LOW WILL REINFORCE SHARP LOW LEVEL CONVERGENCE THAT

20-25 inches depending on spot because the winds are blowing 25-35 mph right now.

This meso low has been moving south since the north shore of lake Superior, I'm hoping it makes it down here and has moisture left.

Getting some very light snow the last hour or two.  Maybe a tenth or two.  The BL is very dry, so think we're having some issues getting the heavier stuff down to the surface.

So, we are at 200% of normal snowfall to date all of a sudden here. add a few inches tomorrow night and tuesday itll be well over 200%....just need to keep up the pace til April.

Still some light snow falling here.  This snow might be pushing 30:1 LSR.  Probably in the 3/4-1" range based on eyeballing from the window.  Will make a measurement when it's finished soon.

Yeah i got a nice piece of both the squalls that went through. 

 

0.5cm (0.2") in total. Driveways and sidewalks covered. Covered up the mountains and made it look nice and clean again. Picture perfect scene.

1.2" of snow as of a bit ago, with snow still coming down quite nicely.  The 30:1 LSR snow I had estimated earlier is definitely around or less than 20:1 now.  Flake size decreased for quite awhile as smaller flakes poured down.  Flake size has recently increased again with the higher DBZ.

Snow has pretty much wound down.  Measured 1.5" of snow, probably around the order of 20:1.  This brings us to a little over 7" for the month, and a little over 8" for the season.  There's about 5" on the ground now, which is pretty impressive considering the lack of moderate to heavy single falls of snow.  Our heaviest single snowfall event is just 2.2", but the very cold conditions combined with numerous light events has built up a decent snowpack.

north flow lake snow continues along the coast here.  temp is down to 12 and the snow has changed consistency since last evening, finer but low visibility.  picked up 10.5" yesterday/last night.
