Dropped to 4 here, decently impressive with barely and snow cover.

Looks like we still have a shot at sneaking below zero Thursday morning.  Airmass is colder but possible that winds could stay up a bit...if winds drop off then we're definitely going below zero.

Lots of wind-whipped snow this morning with the strong winds that gusted over 30mph.  Same thing is gonna happen tomorrow, although there could be even more snow on the ground to blow around.  Point has -9 tomorrow night.

Snow has been blowing around here too. Some snow plows had to be on call today.

Down to 12-13° now.

Nice measurement pic Bo!

My cousin has a place north of town half way up to the point. We try to get up there a few times each winter and once in the summer. Great place to visit but no way could I live up there. I would take your location over up there 1000 times over. The snow is usually great up there Dec through March but the bugs in the summer drive me nuts. He's trying to get a few of us to go up there this weekend snowmobiling because of all the new snow there getting. I might have to take him up on it by the looks of the forcast.

where's your Cousins location?

Vermillion Rd, near Andrus Lake. Great location for outdoor sports but not a place I would want to live. My wife and I like your general area to retire to someday Bo. We like the Petoskey/Charlevoix area. Growing up, my family had a place on Six Mile Lake, wish they still had it.

Last Winter, I can remember a 2 weeks period it snowed everyday for 2 weeks with over 40".

And when Winter is over, Summer is amazing. Spring eats dead Butt.

I have been going to Northern Michigan in the winter pretty much my whole life. Last year was the first time that it occurred to me that 2 or 3 inches of snow really means nothing to nobody up there. When it happens every day it's it's like flurries down here. Yes I was up there the week stretch in January last winter where it snowed 2-4 inches every day it wasn't even a big deal by day seven. Main Roads are always snow covered.

I life guard at a high school pool and I keep thinking school will be cancelled everyday, and yet the school bus flies down my road, full of kids at 50 mph with 5" of new snow on the road.  School is rarely cancelled here.

Colder temps create snow which squeeks, removing a lot of the slippery factor with it. I myself like the cold and snow, people dress for it footware wise and rarely does anyone slip and fall unless there is ice hidden underneath. 6" of snow at 30° is a recipe for fall downs...

Bo you live in my retirement community !!!
