Ralph Wiggum
I remember I think the year was 91 they closed all public and parochial schools in Philly and we didn't get a single flake. That was the worst bust I ever remember....though it rivals march 01.
Heisy
To be fair it looks like the heavy stuff might hit us by 8am, so while we may only get a few inches, its going to come hard and fast, which makes road harder to treat.
Quakertown needs snow
Our sons school is closed today. I guess school buses don't use chains anymore? Wonder when they stopped? Many days with chains heading to and from school in the 80's.
WebBreaker63
The reports from N VA nothing than BAM = heavy snow and heading through 95 corridor - so I would expect the same when it approaches N MD/S PA/SW NJ etc....

KamuSnow
I am a little older and not to sound "Father Like" I used to walk a a couple of miles too and from school in the snow.... And loved every second of it! Yep, and I realize why it is the way it is now, but I also have fond memories of walking up the hill from the bus stop with 40 mph winds blowing snow horizontally and 8" on the ground, in March of 1962. They let school out at 1 pm I think. (Yes, I've been a weather geek for at least that long!)
