RedSky
In some ways this reminds me of February 2001. Forecast was for a couple inches of snow to rain and i had the five hour trip from hell home that normally would have been fifteen minutes in my unprepared trans am. Close to 8" had fallen

Harbourton
Check out SnowGoose69's comments on Dec. 6th in the Medium/long range thread. Great lesson on how not to always believe the models. Good job!
JCT777
can't imagine what it would be like if this was a mid week work day. As RedSky mentioned, it would have been a lot like what the NW 'burbs experienced on Feb 5 2001 for those in yesterday's megaband.

Cary
Wasn't there a big over-performing fgen band way down south last winter? January maybe? Yeah, it was that storm where Cape May got hit really hard.
RedSky
0z gfs and nam were spitting out a solid .50-1" for this am that did not materialize. A little concerned as tomorrows event comes from the same direction. Hedging for the lower 1-3" range right now N&W and 2-4" S&E

I need to get a cabin in south jersey or brookhaven that i can retreat to in winter for real snows Don't kill the snow magnet, I moved to southern Delco and built into my feelings the loss of snow here in the southern part of the county but I haven't had too many let downs yet. I did gain more chances of seeing more thunderstorms and lightning. But bring on the snow.

When I was in Junior High they shut us down mid-day during one of the larger snows of 1994 (Feb 8th), and I remember walking the mile and a half home in the heavy snow, it was great. Same thing - but think 5th grade in the early 70's - Man have times changed - OK back to the weather and figure out if my wife and daughter need to get the snow blower working back in TR...
