RedSky
0z gfs is very 1994'ish next weekend. just saying cause models have been flipping more than salmon heading upstream Don't think i will ever relive something like that winter
Heisy
Starting to think this will be a nasty ice storm for the burbs of DC/Philly etc. As for the city, thinking it will be a 1-2" to rain type deal.

Ralph Wiggum
Agreed redsky....I thought maybe it was just me. Euro is a lot of plain rain. Matter of fact, I am less and less confident in this being a frozen event at this point....the ggem is essentially alone.

We have taken a big swing toward the milder rainy side with the new ecm and 18z gfs. eastonwx
From the afternoon AFD wrt Late Sunday/Monday: THERE IS THE POTENTIAL FOR A ROUND OF SNOW ACROSS MUCH OF THE AREA LATER SUNDAY AS THE WARMER AIROVERRIDES THE EXISTING COLDER AIR, HOWEVER WE THEN WARM ALOFT SLOWERTHAN AT THE SURFACE /ESPECIALLY THE FARTHER NORTH AND WEST ACROSSTHE CWA/ OPENING THE DOOR FOR MIXED PRECIPITATION AND EVEN ICE. THISIS MORE PROBLEMATIC FARTHER NORTHWEST THROUGH OUR CWA AS THELOW-LEVEL COLD AIR TENDS TO HOLD LONGER. THERE IS PLENTY OF TIME TOIRON OUT THE DETAILS, HOWEVER THERE IS AN INCREASING CHC OF WINTRYPRECIPITATION AND WE WILL ADD A MENTION TO THE HAZARDOUS WEATHEROUTLOOK. Ralph Wiggum
We might get more snow/sleet from the second impulse friday night and saturday than next monday now. Models are in fair agreement that the third impulse is a wash now and floods the region with mild air. Yep, 2014 will rock! -epo ftw!

LVblizzard
I'm pessimistic about Friday night, I just can't see any snow in the region, even in the Lehigh Valley. I'm more optimistic about Sunday/Sunday night though. Looks like maybe 2-4" of snow NW of I-95, then sleet and freezing rain.

GFS certainly doesn't think there will be much Friday night... maybe a bit of sleet, but not much snow.
Absolute Humidity
Getting foggy out again but now it's more of a misty fog with drizzle mixed in. Surprisingly, actually picked up .08" of drizzle and fog condensation in the bucket last night and today. We're fogging the drought away a few hundredths a day.
