Big Jims Videos
How the hell can anyone actually like this sort of sustained cold weather? I'm down in AC for the weekend for indoor racing and you step outside and the wind and cold sucks your breath out of you faster than you can even say damn it's cold out. This is gross, plain and simple. You can't Live wen it's like this outside. Walked to White House subs and could not feel my toes by the time I got back. This is, as I told someone earlier, stupid cold, with no signs of warming up.

Voyager
I'm not a winter fan by any means, as you all know, but I can handle seasonal temperatures, because, well, it is winter. Like Jim said though, this is stupid cold, snow or no snow on the ground.
SP
Try working the start at ski races for six hours. There is only one reason I tolerate being outside and It's not the love for my kids. Carhartt. I have more jackets than I know what to do with, donate most that come from give aways etc. My carhartt gear is simply the best and requires the least layering. The biberall is key if you want to say FU to the cold.
Ralph Wiggum
I don't think this pattern is going to produce for us again. We might get something when the pv relaxes but models are showing more mixing scenarios occurring in the medium-long range now. Sure there is plenty if time to nail down details but it looks like we are heading into a gradient pattern with milder air nearby. Where that gradient sets up is going to determine who gets frozen or who gets a mix /rain but there are some signs that we will be on the south side of the gradient with less white and more wet after this week. We shall see...

You folks to my east have several more inches than we do around the central PA area and have gotten basically nothing more than nickel and dime events is fustrating to say the least. Some on the nyc forum are touting a mecs for wed-fri period but I haven't seen much support for it at this time. Hoprfully as u said we don't waste the cold air this week prior to our 'moderation' in temps (which still could avg below normal).

This is, as I told someone earlier, stupid cold, with no signs of warming up. Love the cold and the snow. The cold we've had isn't that cold to me and certainly hasn't stopped me from doing anything outside - not that I do that much outside, other than the occasional walk or our weekly game of soccer, which we'll still be doing tomorrow morning in the snow (soccer in the snow is a blast). Wish I had the time to go skiing - been too busy lately - hopefully by mid-Feb. Plus, as Ray said, the cold preserves the snow, which I love. As an aside, did you get a sub or a cheesesteak? Love White House Subs and often get a cheesesteak there, when I'm in AC, as I'm a nut for their cheesesteaks.
