RedSky
Sitting back trying to take this all in and enjoy it. Great first half of winter, SECS with outside potential to be a MECS and a super cold storm to boot impending, great pattern with cold and potential more storminess to follow over the next ten days, and outlooks for February coming in to be a cold one. This could go down as a great winter even without a HECS

Holly even appears to have upped the potential snow totals.

Rib
No, the last band set up just south of PHL over N DE/PHL/S NJ. This is setting up directly over the city. Those of us who missed it by 20 miles or so last event are getting in on this one.

RedSky
Is it time to be nervous yet for us folks N&W of philly about the narrow heavy banding setting up a little southeast where models indicated? channel 10 futurecast has it filling further nw early this afternoon

You see that band right along I-95 and we're just basically getting light snow. This COULD be similar to the situation back during the Eagles-Lions game where the heaviest snow was in a very narrow band. That's the way it goes sometimes. Forky just stated the heavy echoes should make a push nw as the vort max approaches. Fingers crossed
bricktamland
Off topic, but the 12z GFS is probably the coldest run I have ever seen. Verbatim, the city never goes above freezing for the next 16 days. Unbelievable.

Fingers crossed Yeah, I am seeing that with Andy's radar post in the Obs thread. It's near my doorstep now, but it is slow progress. Right now, moderate snow, which is an improvement from an hour ago.

Certainly not as much ice as '94, of course.
