snowstormcanuck
I just think EC overplays the snowfall amounts at Buttonville and underplays the amounts at YYZ, mostly because they use a Nipher Gauge at YYZ. That's just it. The nipher gauge allows snow to blow out of it which means Pearson will almost always under report. I'm not sure how you've reasoned that Buttonville "overplays" snowfall amounts. Pearson switched over to the new NavCan AWOS instruments in June. It'll be interesting to see if there are any noticeable changes with snowfall reports going forward. snowstormcanuck
Can see the clouds to the east but clear sky above. Oakville is a lake effect snowhole. The Bruce Peninsula blocks us from picking up anything on NW flow. EDIT: Still hasn't made it over to me, hopefully just a few km's more west. I checked a few highway cams under that band. Although radar looks half decent, not much is really falling, even to your east. Edit: that's just changed in the last 10 minutes. Visibility is starting to drop in those locations I mentioned above.
