Matches up well against the 40.5 out of Tenafly. It's possible that I missed a minor event somewhere along the way, but I'm pretty confident that my total is very close to being accurate or I wouldn't have bothered submitting it. I definitely recall areas just north and east of me doing a little better last winter. As someone else pointed out, my total seems to matchup with Kearny's 27" pretty well, so there was probably just a tight gradient across this area. I don't recall any threads like that, but I could be wrong. The only thing I remember questioning was the inflated Boxing Day total from Lyndhurst on the PNS which was something ridiculous like 32" when the most I measured in any 1 spot was 24" (or something along those lines). Any medium sized drift from Boxing Day would easily have a reading like that. I had a relatively smooth , 45" plateau on the side of my house the morning after that one. The majority of excess snow came from the roof. That's why it's always best to do a 6 or more spot average.

I still need to compile the COOP totals and then actually plot the map, since I'm working the next few days it might not be til Monday or Tuesday before I get around to it. I tend to think the amounts out of Hudson County are a bit low due to urban influences--especially given that most of our snow last year fell in borderline temperature situations. No storm particularly stands out as "shafting" more southern locals, but you can definitely see from Newark's data that they consistently received less snow from each passing storm.
