Meh, personal druthers but I could care less about sustaining a snow pack.  I just want interesting weather.  I think going from a this freezer with a couple of wintry threats, to possible 60F afternoon is interestingly dramatic in its self.  But that's just me...

Although, I would be a liar if tried to say I didn't care about a white x-mass...  That's definitely a sentimental aspect for.  I remember when I was child, there was a winter storm watch on x-mass eve, for a combination of freezing rain and mix.   There was no snow on the ground, and when we awoke, it was a blue-tinted dawn that turned into post-card setting.  6" and lingering medium sized 'chutes the whole day.   I have to admit, there's something about that mystique.   I wonder how people in the deep south feel about it?  I bet they don't even care, because it's not really integrated into their histories.

so a brief torch is interesting weather?

Tuesday and tuesdqy night could be quite sneaky good.

Yeah I like those little clippers that try and redevelop S of of us...they are often under forecast by the models until the last second. Hopefully this one sticks on guidance to get into a reasonable time frame.

what a start to the winter it has been in the north country.

i have gotten more use out of snow tires in 3 weeks than  i had all of the last 2 years combined. its almost as if i cant go out without the threat of a surprise squall. not getting big amounts by any means here in N vermont by the lake, but the conditions on the roads have been nasty thanks to the persistent cold temps up here. everryday has felt like an adventure. helped that i went up to ottawa last week

it has been nothing short of mid winter weather there since mid november.....with the snow and cold combined, would have to say its one of their harshest starts to winters in eastern ontario in years....unfortunately there have been a high number of traffic deaths already.

with the temps below zero here tonight, and a frigid storm on the way tomorrow that is sure to leave roads a mess again, i might just end up camping out at work all wekeend lol
