Damage In Tolland

Recommended Posts

Tends to happen up your way and I'd also doubt 60s...hitting 50 in that ~3 day window is a big possibility though. The pattern in general is going through a recycle of the first few days of Dec here with more major cold settling down the Central/West and warmth up the East Coast. The good news colder weather should ooze back into New England by the holiday with an active arctic frontal boundary, and if were lucky, a wave will get us as we get on the colder side.

Yeah What i could envision happening is maybe 1-2 mild up type days in the 40's or something and then with all the cold over the border some sort of arctic front or boundary snakes back down to save us

Deep snow cover would certainly be helpful in keeping the overnight lows where they belong.  A mild up won't bother me as long as there are no torching cutters.

Pretty sure many would disagree given the Holiday. Sicko.

I would rather holiday w out power than a torching rainstorm. Everyone in this forum is sick over wx , and mostly winter wx. Rain on xmas is about as acceptable as my gf getting a sex change.

Sorry, a freezing house with water turned off doesn't do it for me. It would make the holiday season a dead ratter regardless of wx. A warm house, food and drink , comfy loved ones means I can ignore the driving rain outdoors.

I gotta agree... I love extreme events, but widespread power outages on Christmas would suck.  Need the ham cooking in the oven smell mixing with the woodstove smell, holiday lights on outside, food & drink in the warmth.

I'd take it for New Year's though, lol... couldn't care less about that holiday.

I think the cold on Friday might be underrated right now on a lot of forecasts. It might not warm up much with that arctic boundary trying to sag southward. We'll have to see exactly how that shakes out.

Temps are so much more interesting when its cold, lol.  That same statement wouldn't be the same if you were talking about a boundary separating 62 degrees from 52 degrees, haha.
