Seriously.. no way the Euro is losing this battle, right? ;)

I agree,  I don't see it losing.  The euro has support from it's own babies and all the other operational models but I guess the ukmet.  The GFS has only itself and a few of it's ens brethren.  A GFS win would be a huge upset and would be epic.

The nam is like 2 frames from a phased neg tilt bomb. I think it's too amped up.

Well one crazy uncle ARW6 looks like a Cleveland Superbomb. Also SRef all over the place meaning 00z might not answer any questions. Accept ones we already know like it isn't going to snow. This thing is juiced so there is a potential for a lot of rain!  Fast mover isn't going to matter.

Rain or no rain and rain and stuff....it's dang fun having a ss storm to track. And an arctic front to boot. It's like an NFL preseason game that keeps you from changing the channels all 4 quarters.

Probably so. It caved. Wonder why? Was its data and/or modeling of the ns simply that bad?

It's still 72 hours out...sometimes they lock in, but the models aren't always that great 3-4 days out..we know that...this is a progressive pattern....

I could see this one trending colder as we close. Not much help for me but maybe someone.

It will still shift some I'm sure...what do you think?....I have no idea, but I could see the current modeled solution being close to correct

Think we are coming toward a solution.  I could see things maybe de-amplifying a bit (or at least per last euro) and the cold trying to press a bit harder.  The air mass moderates out ahead of it but not anything major and then there's another cold high pressing in on the storm.  I kinda doubt we'll get 3" of rain but maybe.
