clskinsfan
it really is a classic surface low track for us to get snow, that's really the only thing I find painful about it at this point It is. Especially for the cities. It's amazing how the cold air relaxes just enough on the models for it to be a rain storm. If that 114 panel was in February we would all be going nuts. Ian
Yea, nov climo is awful tough to overcome. Just not all the pieces in place. But it is what it is. I never once thought this storm would bring even a half inch of snow on the ground so it's not hurting my feelings much. ETA: the next one is ALL OURS though DEC5TH!!!111!!.JPG lol.. was going to respond with Dec 5 something then saw the file name.
wxmeddler
Oh really? What's the timing for my ice storm of doom? It would be Tu Afternoon though Wed Morn. but you know that it will likely be rain instead of ZR anyway. after fighting the bl during the past 3 winters like I've never seen in my life, I'll take an ice storm if I can't have snow Yea, but I have a flight out of BWI right at that time
mappy
It would be Tu Afternoon though Wed Morn. but you know that it will likely be rain instead of ZR anyway. True, but I guess I'll keep my eye on it. Would be a pain to leave work in rain to drive home to ice on Tuesday.
WinterWxLuvr
I agree. But I think south of us is better off at this point. Way too far off, but it isn't ridiculous to think we could snow out of this.

clueless
Well, we didn't make it to Miami this Thanksgiving. This may be fun. Rain is good. We always want rain in da 'Burg. Low to no expectations is a good way to start the season.
Amped
I'll be in CT for the weekend. I'll consider 1" a victory for Frederick and 2" a victory for SW CT. That's assuming someone 10 miles to my northwest doesn't get 12" more.

Avdave
True, but I guess I'll keep my eye on it. Would be a pain to leave work in rain to drive home to ice on Tuesday. You'll be ok. Unless you were living in one of the hollows or valleys there then maybe some ZR where it would stay colder. But if you are higher up on the hills then you should be ok
stormtracker
lol, like Matt said, it's coming....the NAM looks like the second coming of '96 about to happen. I hate that s-tease.
yoda
When you compare the h5 charts at hr 51 on the NAM and GFS tonight, both have potent s/w in the northern stream... and the GFS appears to be slightly faster

EasternUSWX
People act like it doesn't need to rain anymore or something. Fact is last 30 days have been very dry. We need any precipitation we can get.

aldie 22
Probably not wise to ignore the gfs OTS solution even if it is on its own for now....two runs in a row
North Balti Zen
Probably not wise to ignore the gfs OTS solution even if it is on its own for now....two runs in a row Agree. Is it so far-fetched that this plunge of arctic air might drive the system off-shore in the face of that push?
nw baltimore wx
It's been so long that it's hard to believe we'll get a southern soaker until we actually get one. Can anyone chime in on what the euro overnight run suggests?
