...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IS CANCELLED...

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN PITTSBURGH HAS ISSUED A WINTER

STORM WATCH...WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM TUESDAY MORNING THROUGH

WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON. THE WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY HAS BEEN

CANCELLED.

* ICE ACCUMULATIONS...SOME ICE ACCUMULATION POSSIBLE TUESDAY

AFTERNOON AND EVENING...PARTICULARLY IN THE RIDGES.

* SNOW ACCUMULATIONS...IN EXCESS OF 6 INCHES POSSIBLE.

* SNOW BEGINNING...LIGHT SNOW WILL DEVELOP MONDAY NIGHT. STEADIER

SNOW WILL MOVE FROM SOUTH TO NORTH THROUGH THE MORNING TUESDAY.

* PERIOD OF MOST INTENSE SNOW...TUESDAY NIGHT.

* PERIOD OF POSSIBLE TRANSITION...SNOW MAY MIX WITH OR CHANGE TO

RAIN OR SLEET EVERYWHERE FOR A PERIOD TUESDAY AFTERNOON AND

EVENING. AN EXTENDED PERIOD OF FREEZING RAIN IS ALSO POSSIBLE IN

THE RIDGES TUESDAY AFTERNOON AND EVENING. ALL PRECIPITATION WILL

CHANGE BACK TO SNOW OVERNIGHT TUESDAY NIGHT.

this system is still 42 hrs away from 18z today from dropping precip on us and 48 hrs away from the steady precip

that's a million years in model time

not that I expect a snow storm, but that's enough time to tweak things  for some back end action, whether it be a coating or an inch or 2 under the best case

I grew up in Pennsauken. Rt. 130 always flooded in a couple really low areas under underpasses, but otherwise we didn't flood much. Helps being in a somewhat swampy area - water always has somewhere to go.

Lol. Maple Shade here. Rte 130 was a nightmare at the underpass. Then, if you made your way south toward Runnemede et al, it was always iffy. Road infrastructure is still fairly awful in the south down the Pike.

It's always funny to hear of someone in this area that grew up in South Jersey...especially somewhere so close.

Yup. 130 is just an awful road. It's gotten a little better in recent years, but it's still pretty much crap overall.
