Looks like the cooler airs still back into NYS aways.  Still hoping I might dip below 20 by midnight.  Perhaps not likely, but still optimistic.

Nice snow shower heading into N ORH county.

I still wish we had a bit deeper low level moisture, lol...then it would have been really solid with a good chance for a an inch or two in many spots. But we'll take what we can get this early.

So why is there a wind advisory if they are forecasting winds within the advisory statement as being short of advisory criteria?

 . THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN TAUNTON HAS ISSUED A WIND ADVISORY...WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM 7 AM SUNDAY TO 1 AM EST MONDAY.

* LOCATION...ALL OF MASSACHUSETTS...ALL OF RHODE ISLAND...NORTHERN CONNECTICUT...AS WELL AS CHESHIRE AND HILLSBOROUGH COUNTIES IN NEW HAMPSHIRE.

* WINDS...NORTHWEST 15 TO 25 MPH WITH GUSTS UP TO 45 MPH

... A WIND ADVISORY IS ISSUED WHEN SUSTAINED WINDS ARE FORECAST TO BE 31 TO 39 MPH OR GUSTS WILL RANGE BETWEEN 46 AND 57 MPH. WINDS THIS STRONG ARE CAPABLE OF DOWNING SMALL TREE LIMBS AND

Just wondering.

I mean technically you only need to hit those values once to verify, and I think the formatter picks out the highest values to put in the headline product. So yes, generally we like to see those match.
