I think it's going to feel like winter.  Nothing extraordinary if this were six weeks later--it would be cold, but not extraordinary.

My take anyway.

I mean the general public. Tomorrow will be the day where the top story will probably be the cold and they'll do one of those things where they cut to the OCM for them to talk about it. You know, one of those segments where they will interview windblown people chilled to the bone in order for them to complain. I love those days....the more people complaining the better.

LOL, Chuck on top of the mountain of ice, Forky waist deep. I am going to the Bills game on the 21st, hey maybe I luck out. I am game for a chase though. Lake Effect King George I am sure would point us to a bar with a hotel where we could get somewhat blitzed in a blizzard

Sure would! I'm currently at Disney so I'm already missing some decent potentials for my area through Thanksgiving .

nam and gfs really have hours of wind gusting >40 mph...with potential for 50...for a lot of SNE from late afternoon into the evening hours. the core of the wind actually remains inland a bit.

Holy crap you're not kidding.  Was just looking at 12z GFS bufkit for BDL and it has potential for 50kt gusts mixing down.  Pretty steep low level lapase rates tomorrow too

12z MAV has 27kt at 18z tomorrow for CON and pukes out an 88kt for MWN. That is damn high for MOS.

Yeah and in that's that pit in the valley. Think a lot of folks are going to be sitting in some dark, cold houses tomorrow afternoon and night...and most in the public are not aware

Eh...dry and freezing ground combined with NW winds don't exactly scare me wrt widespread outages. I'm sure there will be some, but idk about "a lot". You lose power from blue jay flatulence though.

Power outages shouldn't be a major issue tomorrow...agreed.  There will be some but nothing significant I don't think

Hype it up!

The soundings in most areas are going to mix 45kts+ it seems.

That sounds impressive.  Not sure about being in the dark.....tough to bring things down without leaves on the trees.  Of course, heavy gusts on the right trees can get the job done.

Pickle's clouds  are rapidly approaching...nearly overhead.  If I'm going to see flakes I imainge it'll be pretty soon.  We'll see if they can hold it together across the ridge.  Most will be wrung out I think.   It would be nice to have some before dark, though.
