To me there is nothing worse than bitter cold right up to and right after a storm , while the storm itself ends up warming to 38 degrees and rain . Then plunges immediately after. Especially in snow season like we are in now. Really makes folks irate

 

With any luck you may be in the 50s Wed. Lets hope.Sorry it may not snow. Life continues.

Agree on your bookends statement.  But to claim this as "snow season" is a bit of a stretch for down there.  It's borderline up here.  I think PF is the only one who can claim that.

Absolutely true. But that doesn't mean it's not snow season by late Nov

 

Okay--I buy that.  It's not unreasonable to hope for snow in late November, though climatologically, the odds sitll favor rain.  Obviously, the further north and the further interior (controlling for els) the better the odds for white on any given date.

i wish some could just accept that idea. 

 

i know the cold shot has been pretty much looked at from all angles at this point, but man i'm still impressed. lol. even MAV is max 32F at HYA for tomorrow. 

 

as for wind...soundings are pretty impressive - deep mixing.
