It appears that last night's frontal passage occurred here at 11:00p.m. with the wind's sudden climb and veering to the NW (peak gust of 23mph)

Down to 35.2/29 now.  Guess I won't see 40 for a couple days.

One thing's for sure.  I'm glad I determined it was best to hang the outdoor lights during last weekend's warmth.  I'd hate to be doing it tomorrow.  It'll be a bonus if there can be a little snow on the ground on Friday when we light 'em up.

Still gives me a foot ...but we can't trend any further inland with this thing. Basically a southern stream wave getting slung up by the amplifying flow...not a pretty noreaster.

Nice, Rick.  Far from the OTS solutions of recent days.

BOX has seen the light (or darkness) and changed my Wednesday from what had been "snow" to "snow and rain".  The death knell begins.

Woke up and frig/freezer both generating no cold, though it is humming and lights up inside.....  Had to put everything on the deck to keep it frozen.  29.8 out there now so we're good for awhile anyway. Something must have blown.

Yeah I think this event will be nip/tuck here to the end. Hard to see it shifting even further inland, but if it does then we rain also.

That sucks about the refrigerator/freezer deal.  I hope that doesn't screw up TG planning.  At least you do have the outdoor option until the animals discover it.

Here you go, Steve, courtesy of BTV.  Might want to take a road trip.  :)

ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT. ACTIVE WEATHER IS EXPECTED THIS WEEKEND. A STRONG COLD FRONT MOVING INTO THE AREA THIS AFTERNOON AND NIGHT WILL PRODUCE SNOW SQUALLS ACROSS NORTHERN NEW YORK AND THE CENTRAL AND SOUTHERN SECTIONS OF VERMONT. A QUICK 1 TO 2 INCHES OF SNOW COULD FALL WITHIN THE SQUALLS...

Down to 34.3/28.  With a progged high of 36* here at the Pit, looks like a pretty 'steady-state' day is in store.

To me there is nothing worse than bitter cold right up to and right after a storm , while the storm itself ends up warming to 38 degrees and rain . Then plunges immediately after. Especially in snow season like we are in now. Really makes folks irate

That is annoying. But you still could grab a little snow out of this
