Out of curiousity, can you give any comparable storms with 968 that might have impacted New England?

moneypitmike
How much of that is white? Sounds like I could be at the wrong longitude for this one. It sounds like most of us might be the wrong longtitude. lol
Tropopause_Fold
That's prolly a DC-NYC-central/wrn sne jackpot...up through ctrl and nne. yeah...we need that another 100 miles east for SNE to really hit it good. otherwise that's coastal plain mix/rain and interior dry slotting issues....go east young man go east! weatherwiz
this things sounds like a monster can anyone with early access elaborate on just how far west we have mixing concerns? just the cape/SE mass...or is it close enough that RI and SE CT are flirting with mixing as well? Parts of SE CT may briefly have mixing issues it appears.

Mr. Windcredible!
Looks like CT has mixing issues on the map above ah thanks...missed the map. yeah just a hair too far west for my liking, drylot/mixing conerns in much of coastal/SE SNE. given how slow this thing is moving though, I imagine all that comes after a pretty good thumping up front. CoastalWx
LOL, this was the other option I mentioned this morning...having that trough dig so much and bomb a low due north. In this case however, it would be a monster.

Gibbsfreeenergy
So 12 z themes are for EC, GEM, and Ukie to phase and bomb, GFS say otherwise after it had phase and bomb. GFS obvious outlier but need to work out details of timing and amount of phasing still which will greatly affect the details of the end result. I like seeing the southern stream be deeper and slower. That, coupled with the amplitude of BOI ridge, is my friend. :-)
