Chicago Storm
Thought I'd expand from IL to the rest of the sub-forum. Data is through July and confirmed... *Note: The IA/MN/MO totals are not state-wide totals, just the portions that are in this sub-forum.
Hoosier
Nice job. I noticed your Michigan totals don't match up...you have 6 in May but 0 for the total.
Stebo
GRR pitching a shut out is pretty incredible. I'd have to imagine there probably aren't many years if at all where they didn't have a tornado. Hell if it wasn't for that surprise event in may near Flint, the entire state would be pitching a shut out.

andyhb
Well November 17th is definitely going to inject some roids into those numbers.

Also going to take some time to sort out given the number of county crossers from that day.
Hoosier
Guess I'll post this here. Although it was a down year for tornadoes overall, several states in the region cleaned up relative to average.
Hoosier
My count for Indiana does not match up with theirs (I have 38). Perhaps there were some changes with the November tornadoes that haven't been made public yet.

Perhaps there were some changes with the November tornadoes that haven't been made public yet. I have received confirmation of 2 additional tornadoes in Indiana on Nov 17, bringing the statewide count from that day to 30. Not sure whether it means there is a net gain in the overall outbreak total from Nov 17 as it will depend on what NWS offices in other areas have determined. Hoosier
The Nov total for MI is confusing. Database seems to list that skipping EF0 on Nov 17 as 2 tornadoes but the SPC map above seems to imply it's counted as 1. I just counted it as 1 in my November 17 thread. When I went back through for errors I revised it back to 1. It's no different than any other one tornado that moves across multiple counties...So 1 it should be.
