cyclone77
Don't think this vid has been posted yet. This one is from Washington's Steeplechase subdivision. The tornado passes by just to the north, with some intense RFD blowing through for a time. High quality vid, but it's got that 2010 look to it with the narrow viewing window. If you watch in full screen it's not as bad.

nwburbschaser
The damage from that tornado was just incredible. Does anyone know how much weight is put into forward speed of a tornado when doing a damage survey? When you compare an extremely slow moving tornado such as Jarrell with a fast moving tornado like the one that went through Washington, just what impact does that have on the final rating? Is the final result in terms of damage all that really matters?
tornadotony
NCDC has Storm Data updated for November 2013. The Washington tornado alone caused north of $930 million in damage, making it the eighth-costliest tornado (after adjusted for inflation) since 1950. I read that this outbreak is the first billion dollar disaster in the US in the month of November (not counting multi-month events like drought)
