nice, I know Phil is very worried about what happens after and winter shooting its load too quickly but hey let's enjoy the next couple of weeks threats.

Well we all talked about that, I certainly don't want to see that either, but in the end...nothing we can do. I don't think the tropics will become unfavorable through early December. Hopefully those aren't famous last words.

I'm of the mind set of 'bring it on early'.  End-to-end rocks, but it's a bit of a let-down to be continually awaiting it's arrival.  Bring it early I say.  We can still get snows in AN scenarios later in the winter anyway.

At least we have some interesting things to track.....maybe chilly, maybe snowy could be in the cards.  Enjoy the ride.

Not too early for my selfish reasons.

Yeah that's a shot for the interior if that happened, even a little SN-RA-SN here as well. Would be nice to turn that into a Miller B lol.

Euro and GGEM leading way on this.

Wonder if we have to consider Tips icestorm threat next weekend too.

I see lots of 40's to near 50 forecasts for next weekend. Will be fun to see those change

Pretty big drop in temps on the ensembles next weekend. Of course we saw the same for this cold shot coming tomorrow night and the models backed off, but the cold signal is significant.

Like I was saying a few days ago next weekend still looks like a "good" shot at a wintry event and then again around or just after thanksgiving.

Although I always worry about winter burning itself out early I don't think that's going to be a concern this year at all.

depends on how the flow evolves....could very easily be in the 40s / 50s with a primary going from the lakes to maine.

Not according to BOX--at least through Saturday out in GC.  Not too cool, but not 40's-50's.

Friday Night: Mostly cloudy with a 30 percent chance of snow showers. Lows in the upper 20s.

Saturday: Mostly cloudy with a 40 percent chance of snow showers. Cold with highs in the mid 30s.

Thanks for the info....I think you guys could be in for a Thanksgiving week surprise

Well here on the coast, we need a very cold airmass for that to happen or at least the perfect storm track to lock in nrly winds. Plenty of time between now and then so I'm just going to ride it out and see what happens.

I meant with the Euro snowevent for next weekend, The overrunning deal..I noticed the GFS sort of jumped on board too this morning

The euro verbatim was more of a slug of moisture sliding through with a trough and then a low develops SE of the Cape as it swings through. One of those deals with E-SE winds ahead of it and then switching NW behind it. It was very cold aloft though.
