CoastalWx
Maybe he was pimping the event and max in Norwell got it? Max lived in Hanover and they did get snow in 2004, but I believe it was about 3.5-4"
Clinch Leatherwood
I honestly can't think of a recent Nov event. There was an outer Cape OES event in '04 I believe. Pretty sure I was posting from my work up on rte 138. Exit 2 is the cutoff for meaningful snow in this one on rte 3. North of that almost nothing
wxmanmitch
Still getting some weenie flakes from time to time under a stratocumulus deck. Stuck in the upper 20s. The warm ground plus some solar insolation has melted some of the snow from this morning despite the subfreezing temperatures.

Tropopause_Fold
I believe this is the best event for the Cape this early in the season since 1987. Its really hard to get measurable in the first half of November there. Impressive that even ACK is snowing steadily. finally coming to an end now. sky is starting to break to the north and west. powderfreak
Anyone see this photo from Blue Hills on their Facebook? There's some elevation dependent snow out there, lol.
SouthCoastMA
The plymouth-kingston coop and E Wareham coops both reported a trace in that event. Do you know if the EWareham Coop still reports seasonal totals? I'd like to compare theirs with mine (Closer to Wareham center) over the past 8 years, if that data is available. Though I know longer reside there.

ORH_wxman
29F at 2pm for ORH...that would have shattered the old record max of 34F if the highs hadn't been earlier this morning.

I like seeing the little nuances that even a few hundred feet have around here. Other than walking, I can't get to the top of Blue Hill, but there is road that runs along the hills at around 350' for a few miles.
Clinch Leatherwood
Phil how much? Meaningful snow stops just up from exit 2. Always seems to be the cutoff one way or the other must be related to the Gulf Stream

Yeah I remember driving up through Carver a few times that Winter..it seemed like for every storm you could just double Wareham's total and that would be Carver's. Thanks for the data! joey2002
It was a solid inch (OK, it was fluffy on top but still an inch) if not a few tenths more on a couple of measurements on the board. Funny story - I guess snow lovers start young. My son looked at our south facing yard and then at a neighbors north facing yard and says "How come their yard has more snow then our yard?". I told him to look at our north sloping side yard and he says "that's better". Gotta love it! lol, that's too awesome!
joey2002
Awesome: haha, classic! First snowman of the year, sizeable. Little ones are happy. used up all the snow in the front yard though, not easy making a 4' snowman in 1/2" of snow. Wow, that's one solid looking snowman from just 1/2" of snow! That stuff is fascinating...even here it doesn't matter what elevation, seeing a snow line in front of you is cool. Like knowing that 100ft higher it is sticking but it's not where you are, even though the temp is only like tenths a of a degree colder. It always amazes me how sharp snow lines can be. A Cpick special day up here with mood flurries and snow showers all day long. We've got about 6" on the ground at 1500ft, and here's a two-foot drift outside the office, lol. Full on winter with a temp of 22F in the middle of the afternoon.

Even with the hateful 41.9 high at 1:00a.m., I've managed a sub-freezing average. Of course, that average will drop once I get down below 27.7 later on.
