ORH_wxman
I wonder if BOS is like 37 or 38. WInds do veer westerly in the aftn, but it's not a real downsloper and seems like mxing to 900mb or so. Not a deep mixing day. Yeah, as we sometimes say, "its a 2m temp kind of day". Might want to hedge closer to the 2m temps versus MOS in this instance. Though in areas like ORH, they are about the same, but for BOS, the 2m temps are colder. Clinch Leatherwood
Easily 1/2 during the burst. It's still ongoing here and everything is covered now. Trees with leaves have that slight lean to the branches as it's falling pretty quickly. If this was CT the power grid would have collapsed ten minutes ago. At the canal vis was no more than 1/2 to maybe 3/4 mile, that's the Sagamore Bridge barely visible.
S&P
UUU reporting 3/4 Mile, 15 minutes ago, visibilities seem to have come down further since then , still no accumulation KUUU 121511Z AUTO 34014G23KT 3/4SM -SN BR SCT009 BKN013 OVC020 00/M01 A3005 RMK AO2 P0000 T00001011

Congrats on what's hopefully the first of many winter events for the S. coast peeps. 34F atm, actually up 2 degrees since 7am.

Clinch Leatherwood
Hippy, greatly exceeded expectations. Felt it would snow, didn't expect accumulations. Everything now totally covered even in the 15 minutes since this photo.

Clinch Leatherwood
Still accumulating but the sky is getting brighter. Timing could have been better...if it'd come in 2-3 hours earlier I think we'd have done better and changed a little faster. We lost some time with the 36 degree snow. 1/2" now just a slight bit over but I don't see much more falling. Enough to make a miniature snowman in a few. tavwtby
Trip to Boston was fairly uneventful. There was an inch of snow on the ground in Hartland, but other than that, just a couple flurries, but man is that wind cold....winter is comin! Clinch Leatherwood
First snowman of the year, sizeable. Little ones are happy. used up all the snow in the front yard though, not easy making a 4' snowman in 1/2" of snow.
