Looks like we got about a 1/2". Ground is totally white. I woke up briefly around 4:30 AM and it was snowing with nice dendrites. The radar definitely had that classic west slope upslope signature to it due to the CAA coming in from the NW. The east slope and CT River Valley got shadowed this go around.

Somewhat unusual to be able to use "east slope" and "ftl" in the same sentence.

Congrats on the whitening out there!

I think he's not sure if my slant sticking was a joke or not.  Didn't realize my jokes were so dry.

The cold's not especially impressive for a 9:00a.m. temp at this time of year, but I do like the 13* dp.

I thought you were serious when you said "just sayin." I know how angry you interior folk get when missing out. Quite comical.

I guess I should have used a smiley face.

I think ORH got a half inch and Dave a bit less.

May as well round up.  Makes the math easier later in the season.  :)

Seems like an inch from here up thru Stafford and Union up thru ORH to Hunchback area

It was a solid inch (OK, it was fluffy on top but still an inch) if not a few tenths more on a couple of measurements on the board.

Funny story - I guess snow lovers start young.  My son looked at our south facing yard and then at a neighbors north facing yard and says "How come their yard has more snow then our yard?".  I told him to look at our north sloping side yard and he says "that's better".  Gotta love it!

Looks like Pete got a whitening per his observations.

Thanks...the east slope is usually FTW not FTL. You guys will do well when we get our first coastal or SWFE and I get shadowed.

Ah, I see. Looking back, I was concerned that a number of models (especially the hour by hour ones used by local mets) showed a sucker hole in the east slope, valley areas that didn't do all that well today.

Yep, you guys had been calling that for a while.

The west slope usually does better with CAA, lake effect leftovers, and clipper type systems. The east slope does better when it really counts.
