A-L-E-K
On the plus side, looks like she's OTS. The last thing i wanted was it sitting and spinning off the coast of maine and supressing what looks like potential down the pipe.
JoMo
lolz I'm pretty much resigned to hoping it scoots harmlessly off the SE coast and doesn't turn up NE screwing up any chances down the pipe. the model thread on the main forum is about to get pretty depressing

KokomoWX
Larry Cosgrove Upper low and component blocking ridges with Christmas storm is amazing. Be careful of accepting the operational GFS which does not account for interaction of upper low and surface structure. In other words, I think more snow than what model is saying; wait on GGEM and ECMWF before making travel plans!
buckeye
actually i kinda feel for those guys east. Talk about the rollercoaster from hell. Especially the euro which has yet to show 2 consectutive runs with an HECS....that alone should be a gigantic red flag for them.

buckeye
where's he out of. Know the name unsure of location Cosgrove is out of Houston....HOWEVER.... he use to be the OCM right here in columbus for channel 6 ABC. Probably circa late 80's early 90's. He was awesome but they eventually canned him. He was somewhat of a hypster with regards to snow....but so was Ganahl at that time. It was kinda fun watching those two compete on forecasts. Meanwhile cbs's met, just read the nws forecast

Madmaxweather
A year ago we were doing the south chant with that storm cut up to the block. Many of us including myself said "No way it cuts to the Lakes"! I remember Santa needed an umbrella on Christmas Eve last year. This year we are chanting north north north! dilly84
Every storm so far this year we needed to be north of it as models shifted north, then finally we aren't in thle bullseye, and north of it and it goes south. Go figure lol.. and any hope of a white christmas is going out the window, no way this 1/4 inch of snow lasts through christmas, maybe not even make it through the day. buckeye
i didn't think any model could look more south and flat.... til i saw the 96 hr12z nogaps with a 1016 low near Houston and a positively tilted trough axis on the coast...lol

First official day of winter, and I personally am fed up already. Makes me sick thinking someone in the south has a better chance at snow on christmas than us. Amos83
Welcome to what we deal with 365 days out of the year... Well where I live I'm usually screwed b/c the mountains to my west block the cold air from arriving on time so I get a lot of 33/rain. Now that I leave home to visit IL I miss out on a good thump of snow back home! Oh well, I guess I should be happy just to see some flakes fly around
