Am going to regret not going when I see squalls laying down snow in the second half around 5-6pm. SOB! Forecast calling for snow showers, heavy at times with winds gusting in the 30s. Should be wild. Jebman Posted November 24, 2013 Share Posted November 24, 2013 Obviously we are hoping for wintry precip next week but I think this system on Tue/Wed will probably be just a bit too far west for the mid atlantic metros to get in on the action. This season is obviously cooler than usual. I think we will have many more chances for snow through late Feb 2014. Heck Austin Texas is under a winter storm warning for ice tomorrow night. That usually does not happen until mid January, IF it happens at all most years. This is going to be an excellent winter for DCA, especially after last winter's car topper flurries. I'm going to savor this arctic front tonight and tomorrow. We get to enjoy 20s tonight with wind gusts to 25 mph and dewpoints falling into the upper single digits, then tomorrow we get treated to low - mid 30s with more refreshing breezes!
